An organisation seeking to develop Management Systems including Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental, we are seeking to recruit a Health & Safety Consultant to join their growing team based in Cyprus. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure that the customer meets all the statutory requirements relating to Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H). Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated in Healthy & Safety and/or Engineering and who possess a minimum of 2+ years of proven experience working in the Health & Safety field. Our client offers fully remote working conditions to the successful applicant based in Cyprus.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops, implements and reviews policies and procedures to ensure that the customer meets all the statutory requirements relating to Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H).
• Develops risk assessments, safe method statements and emergency plans.
• Management of incident and hazard reporting and workplace inspections in conjunction with Health & Safety Representatives and other stakeholders.
• Responsible for the induction and coordination of training for members of the Occupational Safetyand Health Committee including; Safety and Health Representatives, First Aid Officers and FireWardens.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance on safety and health and risk management issues.
• Ensure that company policies adhere to local regulations.
• Train and oversee employees on health and safety regulations.
• Monitor personnel and workspace.
• Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate documents.
• Track the number of incidents and produce reports.
• Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals.
• Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organisations.
• Attend seminars/workshops for further education.
• Work with legislators and politicians to support key local legislation.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Educated in Health & Safety and/or Engineering.
• Any relevant Health & Safety certifications/qualifications are highly desirable.
• 2+ years of previous experience working in the Health & Safety field is essential.
• Well-developed communication skills (oral and written including negotiation and influencing, reportwriting and presentation skills).
• Good time-management skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in Greek & English (verbal and written).
